We are so thrilled you are here with us… since you are new to our community - let’s start with your story. WHY are you so passionate about helping others find financial peace of mind?
My WHY was born out of one of the lowest points in my life. 5 years ago my husband and I made the decision to file bankruptcy because my business had gone belly up and we took our heads out of the sand to find that we were over 6 figures in debt. I sat in that courtroom and decided that I was going to be a good steward of my money. 2 years later we had paid off all remaining debt and were now “in the black” because I had created simple tools that helped us keep track of our finances. I figured that there were other women entrepreneurs out there like me who were not focusing on their finances and wanted to help them manage their finances so they don’t end up in the position that I was in.
We know from the research that so many women make the home wallet decisions and yet they OFTEN abdicate the financial planning to someone else… a partner, a professional, etc. It’s been a taboo topic, too. How are you getting women to talk about it AND take action? Where do you start?
I say “baby steps”. Most of the women I’ve come in contact with in my work are involved in the financial planning. It’s the lack of any planning at all that is the most challenging. My approach is to spread the message that you can really be in control of your finances in 5 minutes a day, which most of them find hard to believe but when they see the results other women in my program are getting they join and experience this for themselves. I’ve been using lots of testimonials from my existing customers to get the word out that this CAN be done

What are some easy things we can do NOW to prepare?
Start by organizing your business finances starting TODAY. The IRS extended the tax deadline to May 17th which is great! This doesn’t mean you should procrastinate for another month :-) Start now and just a few minutes a day you will be able to get all your numbers organized. You can save your sanity this way

Oh I love stories too! The most recent transformation is Ruby who is in a coaching community that I’m in. She saw people raving about my product, 5 Minute Bookkeeper, that I created for solo-entrepreneurs to organize their finances, especially at tax time. She was still skeptical until a few people told her that she NEEDED to get it. She eventually did and recently she posted a testimonial in our private FB group and said I was a ”GENIUS SAINT” LOL. Many of us are like Ruby, we think finances are so overwhelming that it’s impossible to get on top of it but when you join my programs it’s so easy you wonder why you didn’t join sooner!
