Leading In Times of Crisis Series Q+A

Sabrina’s passion for real estate and helping others led her to open Brown and Brown Real Estate, a boutique brokerage geared toward empowering and engaging newly licensed Realtors. She is involved in her community and organized real estate... and is currently the 2020 Treasurer for the Women's Council of REALTORS - California!

On a personal note, Sabrina loves all things hot pink, Jeep Wranglers, and spending time with her husband, 6 children, and her grandbabies. Most of all she loves to laugh; you will rarely find her without a smile.

Q1: What do you believe is the biggest opportunity for leaders in this time of crisis?

The biggest opportunity leaders have currently is to be a resource to our clients and agents. It is also a great time to look at how we are doing business; adjust and implement to be more efficient.

Q2: What do you see as the biggest challenge for leaders in this time of crisis?

Keeping up with the constant changes also keeping the agents motivated.

Q3: What advice and resources are you sharing the most?

C.A.R. and NAR updates and training are my go-to resources to share with the agents. My advice to agents is to stay consistent with a schedule and routine also take this time to educate yourself and take advantage of all the low cost or no-cost training opportunities

Q4: What tips do you have for leaders on how to communicate effectively during a crisis?

Follow your own advice stay on your office schedule if you hold office meetings Tuesday at 10:00 AM continue to do so people like consistency. Those that are looking to you to lead are watching to see how you respond. They will follow your lead so do not panic. Reach out and have one on one conversations with your agents, review their business plans with them and help them adjust the new way of doing business

Q5: What is your advice for leaders who are struggling, stressed, and/or financially uncertain?

My advice would be to take this time to reflect on their business model and how they can adjust and revamp. Reach out to peers to see how they are handling change, you are not in it alone

Additional Words of Wisdom
